I've ordered several times for home delivery and never had any issues. Their family deal is the best chippy offer in all of Nuneaton. Generous portions and always warm.

Grabbed lunch at Castaways on a whim as the smell of fish and chips wafted down the street. Service at the counter was quick and the large menu was easy to navigate. Decided to sit in as the weather outside wasn't great. Was told to take a seat and food would be with us within a few minutes. 2 large cod and chips, a medium cod and chips and 2 sausage, with a variety of sauces. The food arrived in under 10 mins, and was piping hot and clearly fresh. The chips were crisp on the outside and soft and light inside. The cod was flakey and light, the batter was crisp though could do with a little more seasoning for my liking (That's personal preference though). Being from the north, Midlands gravy is very hit and miss for me, though castaways was good. It was reasonably thick with good flavour, the curry sauce too had a hint of spice and was tasty. The portions filled the plate, but there wasn't much difference between the medium and large portions to justify the price difference in my opinion. Another customer while we were in ordered Kebab meat and chips, and the plate looked amazing and we regretted not ordering that ourselves. The restaurant looked generally clean and well presented though seemed to be a little clinical and lacking that personal touch, it feels like the restaurant is somewhat of an afterthought to the takeaway. Including sauces and drinks the meals averaged just over £10per person, which isn't bad considering the portion size and what nearby fast food restaurants are charging nowadays. In short, good food, good staff, good service, ok atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic place ! Had a large fish and chips was so delicious , Highly recommend this place if your looking for good quality food And a relaxed atmosphere

This place for some reason is 3.5 stars on google, the chips are always bought when close to her they are battered and orange and crispy, and they have good food, more of a 4 star.

I had jacket potato with cheese and beans and lettuce it was nice quite good value but not enough cheese. My husband and friend both wanted a breakfast but they only had breakfast baps, we asked for it to be plated instead so they had one sausage sliced , one egg, small portion of luke warm beans, mushrooms and no bap was given. This breakfast was very poor for the price, at £6 the drink should have been free.

Hello I'm peter.carre abstract artists I use castaways the fish and chips are very tasty And the owner and staff are Brilliant the shop is always busy very clean to my knowledge I like the chips thay say a secret recipe so I can recomend to feed quality fish and chips always clean tolrtstoilets
